Host Homes of Indiana
The Host Homes of Indiana program provides an opportunity for caring families to offer temporary emergency shelter for runaway and homeless children between the ages of 7 and 17. Host Homes families voluntarily provide care for children in crisis when they cannot remain at home nor be placed with family or friends.
The Host Homes program operates in primarily rural counties where no other emergency shelter facility exists. Host Homes programs are contracted through local agencies and providers who know the needs of their community best.
Host Homes operates in Clay, Decatur, Huntington, Johnson, Morgan and Wells County. The Host Homes program is funded through the Department of Health & Human Services Administration of Children and Families.

They have served as the federally designated national communication system for runaway and homeless youth since 1974.
